Thermo-Trol Systems installed the first BACnet DDC system in Virginia Beach at this facility. As part of new construction project Thermo-Trol Systems installed/commissioned all BACnet DDC systems, chillers, AHUs, and terminal units. Thermo-Trol Systems partnered with the City of Virginia Beach staff in effort to receive LEED gold (existing buildings) certification. Our service department has provided DDC service and maintenance since the facility was built. Recently, Thermo-Trol Systems partnered with the City of Virginia Beach staff in order to implement a cost-effective demand control strategy for this 400,000 square foot facility.

Thermo-Trol Systems installed one of largest, most successful base-wide DDC system for the Navy. This Automated Logic WebCTRL System (A Division of United Technologies) encompasses over 70 buildings of DDC and Mechanical Retrofit in 22 months. All worked was performed in buildings with live activities with minimal disruption to the command. The project today is considered the showcase of energy management solutions, building performance analytics and dashboarding graphics for the Navy.
